Stephane Herbert has been working as a photographer for more than 25 years and has collaborated with both print media (Géo, Grands Reportages) and publishing houses (Éditions du Patrimoine, Solar).
He prefers topics related to modern civilizations. Stephane Herbert is co-author of books such as "Brazil, the Dawn of the Capital" ("A & J Picard", 2006) and "MONGUEN de cordillera a mar" about portraits of old Mapuche peasants in Chile ("Globe Vision", 2012). His exhibitions were held in France (UNESCO, "Galerie Blanche"), in Brazil ("Museu Nacional", "Espaço Cultural 508 Sul"), as well as in India and Japan as part of the "Alliance française" worldwide network . His "Imaginals" series was integrated into collection of the Museum of Photography of the city of Istanbul in 2014
