German photographer Dieter Seitz studied design and sociology in Berlin and received a doctorate in political science from the University of Bremen.
Photography and visual communication were part of his research at the School of Photography - Neue Schule für Fotografie in Berlin and the Lichtblick School in Cologne. Initially, Dieter Seitz was focused on applied photography, but later on engaged in scientific research. Then he devoted himself to documentary cinema and artistic photography, which he has been working on for several years.

In Kazakhstan, Mr. Seitz implements an art project exploring the dynamics and paradoxes of modern urbanization of Kazakhstan's cities (Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk).
